Purpose Of SABS1123 Reducing Flange

Reducing flanges is widely used in water conservancy, electricity, power stations, pipeline accessories, industry, pressure vessels, etc.

Reducing flanges are also called large and small flanges. Except for the pipe diameter, the flange size is the standard flat welding flange size of the larger diameter of the two diameters. Still, the pipe diameter is smaller than the normal diameter of the flange.

Processing Process Of Reducing Flange

Since the nominal diameter of the container cylinder of the reducing flange and the specific size indicated by the nominal diameter of the pipe are different, the sizes of the container flange and the pipe flange of the same nominal diameter are also different, and the two cannot be used interchangeably.

Usually, the reducing flange is divided into several arc segments for processing. First, the blank is forged into a square billet and then cold-formed into an arc. After annealing and stress-relieving heat treatment, it is assembled into a complete circle and processed on a vertical lathe to the designed shape and size.

Finally, it is transported to the construction site, combining several arcs. Welded into a completely reduced weld neck flange, it is assembled with the pressure vessel.
